Guest guest
Dear All, Here is something I read today and wanted to share ... "Everything you do is a ritual. If your heart is in it, it becomes spiritual" -- Swami Ashokananda (1893-1969) , a monk of the Ramakrishna Order who spent most of his life developing the Vedanta Society of San Francisco Jai Guru Nanda
Guest guest
you know, that makes me think of something Swamiji said ... it went something like: "whatever you do with attention, is devotion or prayer." like the post re: the pronunciation book, where Swamiji says it is not the technical aspect that is important, it is not a matter of transgression, etc. it is our intent. it is the intent of the Gods and the human heart that derived our way. intent is everything, the manifestation follows as an elaboration on that. interestingly, this way is about learning the path. what, i thought this was about intent?!?! it is! the path learning is pulling ALL of us into the path. the intent to be with God is primary. But the mind continues to elaborate. The Path or the Eternal Way pulls the karmic mind into the pool of peace. who is the man who has everything to sell, but does not sell, because that would taint what he wishes to GIVE to you. , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai> wrote: > Dear All, > > Here is something I read today and wanted to share ... > > "Everything you do is a ritual. Guest guest
Dear Nanda, thank you for sharing this wisdom. It ties in beautifully with devotee's last post: > Ramakrishna: If you perform your activities in the world without first contemplating God, you are going to fall into worldliness. The burden of responsibility and worldliness will become unbearable. because in order to act from the heart, we must remember to go to the One living there, and ask Him/Her to take over. Then act. I wish I could remember that more often.. with love, Henny , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai> wrote: > Dear All, > > Here is something I read today and wanted to share ... > > "Everything you do is a ritual.
