Guest guest
Dear All, Here is today's verse - 132. Oh Goddess, I have shared the pure principles of the soul of the Guru Gita. For the purpose of destroying the diseases of worldly existence, everyone should always recite as his own. Comment: The attainment of self knowledge or wisdom grants the fruit of Truth, Bliss and Consciousness. In order to destroy that great destructive force of worldliness (ignorance) we should recite the Guru Gita with the knowledge that this is our Inner self, the True self, the Guru, the Divine. Guest guest
Kalia, "I have shared the pure principles of the soul of the Guru Gita..." suggests to me the idea of the Guru Gita as a living reality, and the author is merely describing "the pure principles of [its] soul." "For the purpose of destroying the diseases of worldly existence..." reminds me of the Chandi destroying the ashuras. Jai Maa! Guest guest
Dear Kalia, you wrote: >In order to destroy that great destructive force of worldliness >(ignorance) we should recite the Guru Gita with the knowledge that >this is our Inner self, the True self, the Guru, the Divine. This is beautiful. The thought that came to mind: reciting the Guru Gita is listening to our Self singing. I noticed the word used in the text is 'suddhatattvam'; is this the word translated as 'pure principles'? I understand that this tattva comes between Ishvara (principle of union of Shiva-Shakti) and Maya. Could this mean that as we 'look into the mirror' of the Guru Gita with devotion (by means of recitation, listening or writing), we become aware of our Self? Or is the word just used in general in this verse (the tattvas are still a mystery to me, so I am just groping in the dark here)? with love, Henny , Kali Kali <kaliananda_saraswati@y. ...> wrote: > > Dear All, > > Here is today's verse - > > 132. Guest guest
Dear Chris, I like and agree with your answer. You seem to have defined what Beloved Shree Maa said of the two texts (naming the Chandi as PHd.) Jai Guru ki jai!! Guest guest
Henny, I think you're thinking of shuddhavidya, which means pure knowledge. Perhaps shuddhatattwa means `the highest meaning' or `the essence of' the tattwas. Jai Maa!
