Guest guest
Swamiji said that his Guru knew the tricks the mind gets upto to wiggle out of sadhana. And Swamiji just smiled at me - as if to say "I too have been there and its tough, but the result is well worth it , so dont give up and keep at the sadhana". Dear Nanda... Thank you for writing this it has been a very recent struggle for me as well. Currently I am needing to move to a new home. Actually, I'm supposed to move from the house I'm in this weekend and, as yet, haven't found a new place. Part of me is pretty anxious but mostly I'm okay with it (if worse comes to worse I can stay with my daughter for awhile.) Anyway, the other day I was chanting the Chandi and I kept noticing how the anxious part of me wanted to get up and frantically, fearfully, get on the computer and begin my daily search for my new home. However I kept chanting, continuing with my sadhana. Afterwards, in my meditation I realized that living a life of faith and trust in God invites me to expand my practice into the understanding that, because there is only One Thing happening (i.e.. Gods Life) that no matter what I do She is ever expanding into and throughout all of my activities. So then chanting becomes looking for a new home just as much as looking at the classifieds; and my sadhana becomes Maa leading me forward into the new home that is searching for me while I am searching for it. What a great reminder that "I" am not doing anything and that it is all Maa! JAI MAA OM Shanti Morningsong
