Guest guest
Dear All, I was chanting and reading the meaning of the verses at the same time and this particular verse got my eye today. Is there anything in our conduct or character that we are not particularly proud of ? I found this verse in the Chandi that specifically prays to the Goddess for destroying inappropriate conduct. A good verse to remember the next time we catch ourselves thinking/doing something that we would rather not be doing ... This is verse 25 from the "Highest Meaning of the Goddess" (discussed by Devnath earlier with respect to Hrim) The verse is "Taam Durgaam Durgamaam Deviim Duraacaara vighaatiniim Namaami bhavabhiito-ham samsaaraarnava taariniim" which Swamiji has translated as "I bow to the Reliever of Difficulties , to the Goddess who destroys Confusion, who destroys all inappropriate conduct, who takes us across the sea of objects and relationships free from fear". Jai Chandi Maa Jai Swamiji Jai Shree Maa Nanda
