Guest guest
Dear All, When I entered the Mandir this morning, Maa was chanting the Chandi. I think we all adopt our styles and tones while chanting, and Maa had a very distinctive tone especially today - it resonated in the temple. I sat down to chant too but found myself just staying quiet and listening to Her. I wasnt alone, a few others had gathered around too. Come chapter 13, time for boons and Swamiji who had by then completed the Cosmic puja, wanted a piece of the action , walked over to where Maa was chanting and started to ask for boons "Complete devotion, blessings to every devotee that comes to the Mandir, and good health for Shree Maa". Shree Maa simply smiled and said "Jai Swamiji" Then Maa moved onto chant the "Vedic Praise to the Goddess who is Unity". Maa SANG this song - how it stirs the heart just to hear Her. The singing of this chapter also gives a nice difference in pace to the chanting. If you would like to hear Maa sing this song - it is available in two CDs - as part of the Chandi Path, and also as a song in "The Goddess is Everywhere". Jai Shree Maa Nanda
