Guest guest
Now we learn what is the best seat to be used in reciting the Guru Gita. Today verse - " By reciting while sitting on a cloth, one becomes best with affliction. Sitting on a stone gives rise to sickness. By sitting on the earth, one becomes pained, and upon wood bears no fruit." Kalia Discover Get on-the-go sports scores, stock quotes, news &; more. Check it out! It seems that perhaps the energy/vibration of the seat is important. What draws energy away, what gives energy and what kind of energy, what is supportive or not for the practice. I can intuit stone, earth and wood, but do not really understand "cloth". Perhaps it is the context of my reading. Om
Guest guest
Kalia, I've never really understood this verse. I wonder if you would forward to Swamiji for his consideration. Swamiji, I wonder if you could explain this verse for me, For instance, I do not understand why sitting on a cloth will produce affliction, and sitting on wood produces no fruit. Thank you so much. Guest guest
>From visiting the Mandir I have come to realise that the seat is very important. Senior devotees and indeed Beloved Gurujis, always fold their asans away when not in use, and asans are not shared, hence, your point on the energy/vibration of the seat is well taken. A mere cloth might not be conducive to retaining the vibrations like the tiger skin and blanket. I have forwarded Chris' question on this verse to Swamiji, lets see whether our understanding on "cloth" becomes any clearer from His response otherwise we can ask the direct question. Thanks very much for responding. Kalia sadumaa <sadumaa > wrote: , Kali Kali <kaliananda_saraswati> wrote:> Dear All,> > Now we learn what is the best seat to be used in reciting the Guru Gita.
