Guest guest
Swamiji, I find myself contemplating the relationship between the seed, shakti, and pin. I have not gotten very far. Could you explain more about their interrealtionship? How do they affect one another? What is the purpose of each? How is each experienced as the practitioner moves from beginning to siddhi? I appreciate whatever light you feel you can share... I am at your feet... Jai Maa! Chris
Guest guest
The Pin...of selfish attachment that holds the bolt on the door behind which is found Wisdom and Pure Devotion The Bija and the Shakti, ripe and fully lively about to manifest a wave of perception, a flavor of Divinity, of Consciousnes in motion with Itself, within MySelf Sabda Brahman, the sound of God, the infinite sound of the universe Bindu, the first point of sound made manifest Nada, the subtle vibration of sound Bija, the closest audidble expression of with the subtle sound is saying Mantra, the sound which takes away the mind Vedic sabda are the sounds which describe the wisdom of union Bautika sabda are the sounds which describe the world outside Controlling worldly descriptions (and wordy ones like this one , dissolve all sounds into the wisdom of union. Letting go of all thoughts, contemplate the audible expression of the subtle vibration. Becoming more and more subtle, enter into the bindu, where the first point of sound is made manifest. From the bindu, merge into the sound of God, in the infinite sound of the universe. (from Tattva Jnana -- http://shreemaa.org/bookstore.htm) Out comes the Pin and wow, we ride in a wave of Infinity's Bliss of that Bija, and then some!, with awareness fully alert to the manifestation and dissolution of all the Tattvas and everything before and after and now, all at once as one Totality in Love. Tat Tvam Asi! we're headed for the That! This I find Tres exciting!!! The answer we hanker for must certainly and only fully be found in the mantras themselves, the natural place for the mind to reside and from there see and hear Her whispers Bija, Shakti, Kilakam thank God that Markendaya and the Rishis like him and Maa and Swamiji have taken the time to make record of what they hear and learn so that we might grow near. Guest guest
Devnath, Thanks for all these little points of reference to help me answer my questions. They are all helpful. Grappling with subtle issues like this is never a clear-cut proposition for me. Unlike Parashurama asking Dattatreya, I can never seem to get my questions just right. I'm not completely sure what it is I want to know. But I know I am not satisfied with what I know now. My own way of thinking about my experience is that it is all the activity of shakti. I do not see the relationship of bija and shakti, nor is the role of the pin entirely clear, in the experience and the sequence of experience. Part of my question has to do with why it is important to know what the bija, shakti, and pin are. They are always (almost) included. Why? And how do they relate to individual mantras? The same bijas and shaktis apply to other mantras. How is the experience the same, and how does it vary from mantra to mantra? How does the experience of different bijas and shaktis differ? Are they specific or general in their effect in relation to the mantra? Are the same bijas always paired with the same shaktis? There is a lot here I do not understand, and while much of it may not reside in the realm of vocabulary, perhaps I can learn a few things of a concrete nature, and a few things, suggestions, that set the mind in a certain path to leap into an understanding that encompasses the colors of intuitive experience. Anyway, thanks again for your input. I was helpful. Jai Maa!
