Guest guest
Dear All, First, I must apologize for the mix up in months - guess in thinking on the July date for Guru Purnima 9 July was posted instead of 9 June, which is the correct day for this particular sankalpa. So far we have ten persons - Muktimaa, Chris, Steve, Nirmalananda, Nanda, Henny, Vaasanth, Kalachandra, Yogina108 and Kaliananda. Ruchi and Indriya have also expressed an interest and we hope that they and others will join us. This is the eve of our sankalpa, our chance to offer our pure love and devotion to Gurujis - all we have to do is on awakening "in the morning, remember the divine name in the brilliant lotus in the head along with the Guru with two eyes and two arms who grants the freedom from fear and peace." Swamiji has said that the "divine name" can be GuRu; Om Namah Shivaya; the Guru's name; also the mantra taken from the Guru (Guru mantra). Hold this meditation for a few minutes. Immediately afterwards or at a time convenient to you during the day, recite the Guru Gita with all the respect and devotion possible. Share that feeling of love with the world. Chant the Sanskrit or if you prefer, read the English translation. Remember it is your bhava to the Guru that is important ! Happy sankalpa! May Guru bless us all with love and devotion! Pranams!
