Guest guest
do you keep the thread on after reciting? (I think I'll stick to just reciting for now, but out of curiosity I would like to know if there are people with a whole collection of threads round their wrists..) Lieve Hennyji,The only time I get a thread tied is during the pujas at Shivaratri at the temple and then I wait for them to fall off. However your imagery sounds fun - having a collection of threads around one's wrists :-) Oh , as an aside - once Swamiji was sharing with us the significance behind the rudrakshas that he wore on his body. He started with explaining the band on his arm, went on to the main five around his neck, and then took out another string of rudrakshas from under his shirt, and yet another and another ... we couldnt stop giggling, but admired that there was so much significance to everything he did and wore . Your image of someone walking around with all the threads evoked a smile just like Swamiji producing all those rudraksh malas from underneath his shirt.
