Guest guest
I am trying to ask this in a way that will require the most comprehensive response :)All mantras, from om to the Chandi Pathah have a deity. I seem to recall from The Science of Mantra 101 that the mantra embodies the deity. I guess my question is, to what extent does a given mantra embody the deity? Does it vary? What is the exact relationship between mantra and deity? Thanks so much.Swamiji's response: It varies according to the intensity of focus of the devotee. Nanda's footnote : Aaah Chris, we can but try !!! If we take time to ponder over Swamiji's answers , we find that they are like sutras - complete in themselves. Guest guest
Does it mean that to intensify our focus on a Diety, say Chandi, we need to have that sort of mantra? I would like to have an intensified focus on Chandi so what mantra is recommended and the style of chanting required? Guest guest
Nanda, I think that one can find the Universe in a pebble if the intensity of focus is great enough... Swamiji's probably trying to tell me something. Probably to ask less directed questions (I can't help myself!). Jai Maa!
