Guest guest
I am tentatively thinking of conducting a 5 five Chandi Homa at home in the month of Ashad Durga Ashtami,I guess approx. 1 month from now. Has any of the members had an experience of the 5 Fire Chandi Homa as I need to ask certian questions such as: 1) distant between the Fires in the four corners. 2) size of the 4 corner fires, the size of the pits? 3) is ghee oblation also offered to the firer on the 4 corners? 4) if i am doing the Homa alone then is only Ghee oblation accepted or do I still need the masala with it? 5) is the heat generated from the 5 fires dangerous to handle for our bodies being the first time? I hope it isn't life risking. As usual I need your direction and support. Some time ago I used to have visions of myself conducting a Chandi Homa in a community place and amazingly with blessing of all it happened. these days I see images for myself sitting between the 5 fire pits and I won't be surprised if with the blessings of Swamiji and Shree Maa I will end up doing it in near future. Yours in devotion to Maa Durga. Jay.

Guest guest
5. Yes, please listen to Swami's online talk regarding the 5 fire Chandi homa. The binding of Swami's Chandi book suffered a meltdown. 4. Masala should be used. Ghee is supplemental to masala. 2. 1 Meter square is fine. Swami Vitttananda Saraswati uses a very small fire at his home for homa. 1. When Iskon Bramins do a 5 fire homa their 1 meter fire boxes are kept 4 meters apart in each direction with 2 brahmins per fire box. None of their book bindings suffer melt downs with four meters between fires. If you want to melt your Chandi books bindings, gain some heat blisters, dehydration, heat prostration, and heat stroke, set your fires closer. , "JAY DAYAL" <jai_dayal> wrote: > I am tentatively thinking of conducting a 5 five Chandi Homa at home > in the month of Ashad Durga Ashtami,I guess approx. 1 month from > now. > > Has any of the members had an experience of the 5 Fire Chandi Homa > as I need to ask certian questions such as: > 1) distant between the Fires in the four corners. > 2) size of the 4 corner fires, the size of the pits? > 3) is ghee oblation also offered to the firer on the 4 corners? > 4) if i am doing the Homa alone then is only Ghee oblation accepted > or do I still need the masala with it? > 5) is the heat generated from the 5 fires dangerous to handle for > our bodies being the first time?
