Guest guest
Swamiji, I hope you will help me understand this verse. It doesn't quite seem to fit somehow... The attainment of personal desires in another lifetime, I think I understand (please let me know if I'm wrong). If one persues desires with discipline, especially "spiritual" discipline, the impressions become very strong, almost insuring they will manifest in the next human incarnation. (Yes?) Of course, if the gurudeva approves of these desires, they will likely manifest almost immediately, so that brings me to the sense I have of this verse, that it speaks of one who has no physical guru. I have no reference for "the prescribed way" of reciting. Is there an oral tradition for this, or is the prescribed way simply according to the instructions of the physical guru? The benefits in this verse, the removal of pain, fear, obstacles, and curses are to come in the future, one assumes "in another lifetime" as do the "personal desires". But these are all gifts of the guru, so it suggests to me that there is no physical guru in this instance. The fact that they pertain to another lifetime suggests to me that the physical guru will appear at that time to give them. Well, how about it? Am I at least close, or am I reading too much into the text? Your light is a blessing. Thank you. Jai Maa! Chris , Kali Kali <kaliananda_saraswati> wrote: > > > > Our verse today - > > > > 147.
