Guest guest
Dear All, Please share your thoughts on today's verse - 149. It is the cow which fulfills all desires of one who is desirous, and allows one to attain the thinkable and unthinkable. It is the gem of all thoughts to the thoughtful, and the cause of all welfare. ======================================== Comments: The Kamadhenu is the Celestial Cow which yields what we desire. The Guru has created the thought within us so that we seek Him/Her out, the Guru makes us walk the path, the Guru makes us experience the life and grants us protection throughout the expereince. Sadguru gives takes us beyond the beyond. Here is an excerpt found on the web. Thanks to the author and writer: Make your mind the farmer, good deeds the farm, modesty the water, and your body the field.Let the Lord's Name be the seed, contentment the plow, and your humble dress the fence.Doing deeds of love, the seed shall sprout, and you shall see your home flourish. O Baba, the wealth of Maya does not go with anyone. This Maya has bewitched the world, but only a rare few understand this. Make your ever-decreasing life your shop, and make the Lord's Name your merchandise.Make understanding and contemplation your warehouse, and in that warehouse, store the Lord's Name.Deal with the Lord's dealers, earn your profits, and rejoice in your mind. Let your trade be listening to scripture, and let Truth be the horses you take to sell.Gather up merits for your travelling expenses, and do not think of tomorrow in your mind. When you arrive in the land of the Formless Lord, you shall find peace in the Mansion of His Presence Jai Guru Maa!Do You ? Guest guest
Kalia, This is a beautiful verse. It speaks, really, of that which comes to anyone who treads the path of faith in God. God is so good. Despite the many pains life brings, this is the essense of it all. But as you say, with the Guru it is even better. The guru protects, sustains, unveils, and guides, all at the proper time and in the proper manner, she is the master of circumstance. Let us constantly remember the nearness of the guru. Jai Maa!
