Guest guest
Here is our verse today. 167. It is true. It is true. Again, it is true. This is the ideal of perfection elucidated by me. There is nothing equal to the Guru Gita. It is the truth, it is the truth, oh Giver of Boons. Any thoughts? Mail Stay connected, organized, and protected. Guest guest
yes. this is the moment of the mind stopping its chase, it's internal argument. there is a lineage of truth and trust from guru to guru. you are looking into your own heart. there is nowhere else to go, this is the time and this is the place to look within. that is the meaning, to focus your attention on your own self, on God. , Kali Kali <kaliananda_saraswati> wrote: > > Here is our verse today. > > > > 167. Guest guest
Dear Kalia, this verse, in connection with the one before, made me think this: if all living beings are to recite the Guru Gita, the Guru Gita must mean more than this text alone. If Gita means 'song' and Guru means 'the cause of all causes', the Guru Gita can be seen as the Glorious Song of Divine Creation, the divine Harmony in the process of being established everywhere, Light removing ignorance. And, whether we know it or not, we, and all living beings, are always already involved in its recitation. Better make it a conscious and joyful experience and stay in tune, with love, Henny , Kali Kali <kaliananda_saraswati@y. ...> wrote: > > Here is our verse today. > > > > 167. It is true. It is true. Guest guest
Here is a quote from the Introduction to the Guru Gita - "The ancient rishis actually maintained limited desires, primarily three: dharma, to attain an idealof perfection; artha, to procure that amount of material necessary to attain that ideal; kama, to become free from all desires. The perfection of these three is called moksha, liberation... the Guru is the example which inspires and instructs in the course of union with God. It is in accordance with this ideal of perfection that the Guru Gita calls the Guru the "Supreme Divinity". He manifests the goal. He demonstrates the path. He illuminates the darkness, and thereby he becomes the purest reflection of one's highest aspiration." Guest guest
Your comments about the Guru Gita, as a song of creation reminde me of something I read in T.N. Ganapathy's transpation from Tamil to English of the Yoga of Siddha Boganathar. While it is not the only place I have read this it is the most recent. In a commentary on Verse One of Siddha Boganathar's Yoga, Ganapathy describes the "glorious mantra" per Boganathar of "hamsa" that awakens kundlani energy. Ganapathy says in his commentary "By the process of breathing, every living being(jiva)is doing japa, that is utterance of a mantra. The breath of every person in inhaling makes the sound of sah and in exhaling that of ham. These sounds make so ham (I am he). What a lovely song.
