Dear All esp Kali,

Remember the refrain from the Guru Gita "tasmai Shri Gurave Namah"

meaning "therefore we bow down to the respected Guru ?" (No ? Well

check out the Guru Gita from verses 31-42")

What is your "therefore" ? What stirs you about the(your) Guru ? Can

you share it in just three lines ?

I will put it all together and Kalia can present it to Shree Maa and

Swamiji as the representatives of all our Gurus and indeed as the

presiding Gurus of this satsang.

What do you think ? Put your creative caps on, and most importantly

your hearts burgeoning with love for your own Guru, and post on the

group or send them to me separately .

Here is my first attempt ...

My Guru leads me by example

My Guru pours love on me

My Guru never fails me at the hour of need.

Therefore I bow down to the Respected Guru.

If I possess anything of value, anything noble or beautiful, it is

nothing but an expression of the Guru's love. Therefore, I bow down to

the respected Guru.

My beloved Guru has silently come into my House

and has chucked away things I thought I'd need

"don't you feel better now there's more light and space?", She says

and kindly smiles.

Therefore I bow down to the respected Guru.

the guru is nowhere, the guru is present;

the guru is swamiji, the guru is his guru's guru;

the guru is shiva's form and beyond shiva's form;

therefore, i bow down to the respected guru.

Guru's eternal blessings upon you. Here is my attempt -

Many years rolled away that day

When Guru took my hand and said

Welcome home my dear child

I've awaited patiently for you to come ......

Guru is my Mother, Guru is my father, Guru is my friend,

Guru represents all that is true in this perceivable universe.

Hey Nanda,

I humbly offer these;

Remembering Maa and Swamiji brings such inexpressible

joy.

They stir so much pure, divine love in the heart.

The thought of these divine teachers brings about a

great longing in the heart for God.
