Guest guest
Kalia, This verse is really special to me, as I'm sure it is to all of us. We all have traveled the dusty paths of this world of opposites, thirsting after something we could not define, until by some miraculous series of small insights and unremarked events, we found ourselves one day at the feet of God, basking in the light that never dims. How such things happen to such a one as I is beyond wonder. It is pure grace, pure love. At a retreat one time, I forget the year, Mother sang that song about the guru that she recorded on In The Temple Of The Heart, I forget the name of it, but Swamiji offered a quick translation of the words just as the opening chords were sounding. I remember hearing "Serve the guru, for without the Guru, nothing can be attained," and I went into a kind of reverie, a very special spiritual kind of reverie that I'm sure all of you have experienced at one time or another. I saw in that moment all of the many circumstances and situations, all of the pushings and proddings to my heart and mind, all of the small steps I had been led to take, that brought me to that place at that time. I was filled with the pure beauty of that loving guidance that had been carefully watching, waiting, and whispering to my heart at just the right moments through oh so many years, and so many different voices, through so much arrogance and ignorance and pain. I just wanted to grasp that light and keep it, brightening my mind forever. I wanted to sink into it, be totally enveloped by it, until all I knew was that loving care. But it was not to be. All I could do was cry. So, I cried, trying to be silent and unobtrusive to the people around me, while that wonderous bhaava faded into the final notes of Mother's singing. Since that time the guidance of the Guru has been a living reality to me. I still do not often recognize it as it happens, but I know the Truth of it, and I am oh so very grateful for it. Jai Maa! Guest guest
I read your post, I read Nanda's post ..... Kalia is in tears of bliss, tears from the heart because these post has stirred Guru's energy within. Pranams to you both. Chris, may Guru's "pushings and proddings" at your heart and mind continue and may you be led in small steps, large steps, leaps and bounds to that point of no return, that special place at the Beloved Lotus Feet of Guruji. With much love, Kalia Chris Kirner <chriskirner1956 > wrote: Kalia,This verse is really special to me, as I'm sure it is to all of us. Guest guest
OM NAMAH SIVAYA Chris, this is a great post. though the guidance is a living reality, the signs are sometimes difficult to decipher. we can only try to be as open as possible. the game is not always very obvious. Guest guest
Eric, I think that most of us do not know, not for years, perhaps, just how the Guru has been leading and guiding us. Jai Maa!
