Guest guest
Wow - the contributions come rolling in from all you divine poets. We lift ourselves too when we elevate our own Gurus. Hope more of us step forward to add to the garland to the Guru. Here is the group poem so far ... and its coming together nicely (I made some minor editting so that they all fit well in together - hope I havent offended the original authors :-) ) =========================================== If I possess anything of value, Anything noble or beautiful, It is nothing but an expression of the Guru's love. Therefore I bow down to the Respected Guru. My Guru know the way to GodMy Guru can help me in the way to GodMy Guru take my hand and show me the way to GodTherefore I bow to the Respected Guru Many years rolled away that dayWhen the Guru took my hand and said"Welcome home, my dear child I've awaited patiently for you to come ......" Guru is my Mother, Guru is my father, Guru is my friend, Guru represents all that is true in this perceivable universe. Therefore I bow down to the Respected Guru My beloved Guru has silently come into my Houseand has chucked away things I thought I'd need"don't you feel better now there's more light and space?", She saysand kindly smiles. Therefore I bow down to the Respected Guru. My Guru accepts me as I amMy Guru teaches me what I needMy Guru loves me with no limitTherefore I bow down to the Respected Guru Guru feeds me, clothes me, plays with meGuru cleans me, blesses me, sings in my heartGuru breathes through me, acts through meTherefore I bow down to the Respected Guru My Guru shows me, by example, pure devotionMy Guru loves me with an everlasting loveMy Guru is the light by which I see truthTherefore I bow down to the Respected Guru My Guru is the best wellMy Guru is the living watersMy Guru satisfies my daily thirstTherefore I bow down to the Respected Guru My Guru is healing the broken heart of the Universe with Her SongMy Guru is feeding all the starving souls with Her Infinite LoveMy Guru dissolves all fear and doubt with Her purifying touchTherefore I bow down to the Respected Guru My Guru leads me by exampleMy Guru pours love on meMy Guru never fails me at the hour of need. Therefore I bow down to the Respected Guru. The Guru is nowhere, the Guru is present; The Guru is Swamiji, the Guru is his Guru's Guru; The Guru is Shiva's form and beyond Shiva's form; Therefore I bow down to the Respected Guru. The Guru is like a rock- solid and unwavering. The Guru is like paper -sliding into the cracks of my being. The Guru is like scissors - cutting through my Ego setting me free. The Guru is forever patient in my ignorance. The Guru is my inspiration. The Guru is ENDLESS LOVE.Therefore I bow down to the Respected True Guru. All the way down. =================================================JAI GuruNanda
