Guest guest
OM NAMAH SIVAYA i wanted to share this story..... a friend of mine, Noor, has been planning to travel to India on a three month pilgrimage. he and his Shakti had purchased their tickets. they were planning to leave 8/1, which was about three weeks away. he is Indian, an American citizen, but he has a Muslim name. when he went to get his visa the Consulate told him it would be 6 to 8 weeks to get his visa approved. they said that they would have to "investigate" him because he is Muslim. he is not a practicing Muslim. he practices Yoga, is a devotee of Amma, and loves Buddha. he was very distressed about this as his plans were already set. Tickets bought and paid for, non-refundable. two days after he told me about this i was at Amma's program here in Chicago. the distinquished guest that evening was the Consulate General for India in Chicago. he put a flower garland around Amma's neck and gave a little speech. i thought, "wow, what a coincidence." Amma was giving darshan, and i standing off to the side watching. the next thing i knew the Consulate General was walking in my direction. i thought, "if this guy walks past me i am going to say something to him about Noor." sure enough he was headed right for me. i stopped him and told him about Noor's situation. he told me that if a US citizen comes for a visa in the morning they would have their visa by the afternoon. I tried to explain but I was chased off by a couple of guys. the next day i told this story to Noor. he called the Consulate to tell them what the Consulate General had said to me. all they said was they would contact him if/when his visa was approved. he heard nothing for a week. now, i know nothing about astrology but i recently heard that Mercury was in retrograde and that this could complicate travel plans. then on saturday Nanda posted something about "how do you remember?" it was about how to remember the mantras for the nine planets and she used the example of the Mercury Mantra. OM SHTIIM SHRIIM BUDDHAYA NAMAH. she said the mantra was for Mercury and/or Buddha. i thought maybe this would help Noor so i told him about it. monday he sat down to do his spiritual practices and at the end he decided to repeat the Mercury Mantra. immediately after he finished reciting the mantra the phone rang. it was the embassy and they were calling to tell him his visa was approved. he picked it up yesterday afternoon. he tried to tell me how he got his visa all because of me, how instrumental i was. i thought an instrument maybe, instrumental hardly. as much as i'd like to take credit for this i can't. the GG says the Guru is the cause of all circumstance. i know that is where the praise and credit belongs. all thanks, praise, and respect to the True Gurus out there.
