Guest guest
Dear All esp Eric, I put together a rough picture of the position of the Devotee/Shiva Linda/Yoni and the cardinal directions .It is in a file called shivalinga.JPG and is in the Files Section of the group under the Beginner Shiva Puja folder. Hope this clarifies the direction question. Please let me know if I can help further. Jai Shiva Nanda

Guest guest
Excuse me . Maybe you already answered this question before. But my Lingam ( in the yoni has Ganesha and Nandi too) isn´t in the north but in east . Is it a problem? .. Guest guest
Dear (Nanda) and All, Thanks Nandaji, will change the linga back into position. I read the posts on direction of yoni in Shiva Lingam last night but was unable to respond (msn browser). A question came to mind though which I would like to share - True we talk about front and back but knowing that the thousand eyes of the Diety see everywhere and in all directions where exactly is the back of the Diety? Goddess Kali is the aspect of Mother to which this child is most drawn and I have never been able to visualize that Goddess as having a back per se, to me if She turns to whatever side it is just another aspect of Her Divine Self : where we perceive Her hair to fall to me is Durga / Parvati and Her glorious ears are Lakshmi and Sarasawati. No front nor back only constant energy flow.
