Guest guest Posted July 31, 2005 Report Share Posted July 31, 2005 Hi, I'm new here. I just ordered the Beginner Shiva Puja book and am waiting for it to come in. I've been wanting to learn how to do puja to Lord Shiva for a long time now and was extremely excited to see this book on Amazon and read about it here. Unfortunately I can't introduce myself further here at the moment due to using an unstable computer but I plan to come back later with a more full introduction. My question is, I see a lot of discussion here about the Shiva linga and I read in the Beginners Puja FAQ that it is recommended to have one to do puja. I do actually have one that was given as a gift but it is tiny (a few inches in one direction) and I was hoping to use something bigger once I learn to do the puja. I haven't gotten the book yet so I don't know what it says about this but I was wondering where I can get one online that isn't too expensive or big, or whether it isn't too hard to make one on my own. I was also wondering about other supplies and where I can find them online or if anybody in my area knows a good store (Worcester Massachusetts USA).
