Many things like that happen all the time around great beings like Maa

and Swami. It can be very painful. Once a devotee yelled at my wife

for pointing her feet towards Maa. My wife had no idea that it was

considered inapropriate, having been raised in the west, where no

such custom exists. I think it did some damage. Too bad it couldn't

have been said in a kind way...On the other hand, we can look at

these incedents as part of the fire of ego burning that happens

around the Gurus...

Dear ecjensen ~ I think you have a very good point here, and in my

situation, it was an opportunity to see my reaction to the person

being so dramatic about me doing it "wrong," and another opportunity

to see that I still had some "bad/evil" label hobgoblins lurking in

my head, and still yet an opportunity to decide to let all that go

and do my best to focus on throwing the rice and burning away my

karma. Blessings ~ Linda
