Guest guest
Yesterday's prayer club sankalpa was a special one for me. Usually I chant whenever I get the time on Saturday, but yesterday I resolved to chant it at the fire at the Mandir. So late last evening, armed with my laptop (to read out the names of all the beloved members of our family and their requests), I sat in front of the fire. Ramya (who I saw near the temple) enthusiastically joined in. We offered the masala for opening the fire Om bhuh svaha Om bhuvah svahaOm Svah svahaOm bhur bhuvah svah svaha And then we read the sankalpa out aloud from the laptop. Must have taken us atleast 5 minutes, my dears, but it was so worth it ... ....learning about each of your beneficiaries and your requests - a special chuckle over Muktimaa and Vinces furry four-legged friends .... to the more sombre request from Ruchi "victims of the Mumbai flood" .... to praying for a recipient (Nirmala in my list of recipients ) who happened to be at the temple with us but was seated further away "Nirmala - for relief from various illnesses" and she acknowledged by raising her hands with a grateful pranam.... happy and secure that ....WE , the people that chant every saturday , sincerely wished for her well being and others. How can God ignore this heartfelt request ? It was a beautiful moment during the recitation of the sankalpa . Then we offered the Mrtyunjaya mantra 21 times to the fire. We closed with the mantras for ending our recitation Om bhuh svaha Om bhuvah svahaOm Svah svahaOm bhur bhuvah svah svaha Thank you all for participating in the prayer club, and I am grateful that I had the opportunity yesterday to offer at the fire for you . Last but not the least ... beloved Karen, thank you , thank you , THANK YOU !!! Shiva Mahadev ki JAIIIIIIIIIIIIIINandaDo You ?Tired of spam?
