Namaste Parvati,

I have a question - it is not always possible to ring the bell in

offering the light and incense. Does this in anyway affect the

worship? What is the purpose of the ringing the bell?

++++++

I enjoy commencing puja with the longer om agnir jyotir ....... jyotih

svaha. It always gives a special feeling of wholesomeness and remind

me of "om purnamadah purnamidam

purnat purnamudacyate, purnasya purnamadaya purnamevava sisyate"

which ends the puja. Kinda of saying (to me) as in the beginning so

in the end.

Pranams

jai maa kali! ringing the bell clears the mind, focusses attention,

and rids the room of unwanted spirits.
