Guest guest
Day 8 Q/A Feedback Namaste to all, Kumari said: I have two questions for everyone but especially for Parvati. How do we instill faith into our worship? And, how do we continually increase our faith? A: Thanks for asking these questions about faith. As Shree Maa says keep doing sadhana. It will purify the mind. She also says that if one keeps to sadhana there is a point where doubt is removed. Swamiji says that satsangha (Nanda said this, too!) helps nourish faith. Hopefully your participation in this cyber satsangha is helping instill more faith and giving you inspiration to study and practice and do more sadhana.....etc. as it is for all of us as well. This is the path of the 9 Durgas as Nanda mentioned which help us to instill and increase our faith. 1. Inspiration. 2. Sacred study 3.Practice 4.Purifying austerities 5. Divinity within becomes nourished 6. Purity 7. Overcome egotistical attachments 8. Become One with the Great Radiant Light 9. Perfection Here is one story that both Shree Maa and Swamiji have told on many occasions that I have found to be very inspirational: Three sadhus were doing tapasya. Suddenly, the great sage Narada Muni appeared. The three sadhus saw Narada Muni, and said, "How long will it take us to see God?" Narada replied to the first sadhu, "It will take you 100,000 years!." The sadhu was extremely unhappy. Narada told the second sadhu, "It will take you 200,000 y ears!" The second sadhu was exremely unhappy. Finally Narada turned to the third sadhu and said, "Do you see this tamarind tree? This tree has millions and millions of tiny leaves. That's how long it will take you to see God!" The third sadhu was overwhelemed with joy! "That means I will see God!" He danced around and around in joy and in that moment he realized God. So....when Shree Maa says: "Do Sadhana....... then..........? Eric said: "Hopefully as my practice grows so does my devotion." Parvati said: Of course! Of this there is no doubt. And that goes for everybody as well! Om namah shivaaya!
