We argued and laughed a lot. Most of the posters were refugees from a notoriously abusive spiritual teacher. The devotion would come and go like a breeze. I was studying on my own. There were many things about myself I was not pleased with. I needed to re-awaken my bhav and discipline. A poster at the forum told me about Shree Maa. I did a search and found this site. I made some posts and other communications. Shree Maa sent me a tin of chocolates via a disciple named Siddhananda. This affected me very much. I thanked her for the chocolates. She responed; "I did not sent you chocolates to eat. I sent you to be a chocolate." Wow. How did she know I was a bitter herb, not a chocolate? I started working on being a chocolate from that day on, and have seen the effects of transformation almost every day. Not being very big on expression, it is difficult to put in words what this group really means to me though I have learnt and continue to learn so very much. This group has become almost like a life line. Last night there was this undying need to be at the Mandir, I could not even go online to check in with the group due to interrupted internet access, so I went to the altar and there before me was my Beloved Guru with the sweetest smile on Her face and Her hand raised to Her heart in the prayer posture. I looked at Her for awhile and then felt to listen again to the CD I am that, tears flooded my heart and eyes as I listened for I just could not help remember parts of the Great Swan by Lex Hixon like - "The Master loves us very much. It is the amazing depth of this love - much deeper even than the purest parental love - that draws us to him and unifies us with him eternally" This sentence to me expresses ShreeMaa (and Swamiji)'s love for us. The love that has brought together this group of souls willing to share and help each other while being guided by our Beloved Gurus. The group, and my involvement with it can only be described as "following Maa's request". I have benefitted hugely from this group - in terms of learning to communicate ,understanding people and lot of self confidence. There have been good times and not so good ones - and all the time Maa and Swamiji have been there to guide, so that , in the end I learned very valuable lessons with every step. If I could share one lesson from my experience - when Maa says "could you please do me a favor? could you do ...." , PLEASE DO IT !!! I have learned that with every request Maa makes, She attaches a BIG blessing ! In the true spirit of giving more than taking, Maa doesnt ask unless She gives more , MUCH MUCH more !!! For me the group has been a wonderful learning experience, an opportunity taken advantage of, simply because of choosing to obey Her request. I sincerely believe that when the Guru asks - it doesnt matter whether we have the skill or talent or inclination for the task. Simply allowing ourselves to be the instrument is enough.
