A: Thanks for your question, Nanda. Here is what

Swamiji has to say:

 

"Arghya" does refer to a corsage of sorts, but it also

refers to any offering that conveys respect. In this

case, the "saaamaanaarghya" is an ordinary offering

of respect by way of washing and purifying

ourselves and everything we touch.
