Guest guest
Dear All, Today's photo on the group's main page is that of Maa . I have this picture on my altar. This picture was taken on Mother's day 2003, and I can still remember the events on that day. Maa was garlanded with one made of 108 marigolds (one of her favorite flowers). She was in a different world as She called each of us, her children to her , hugged each one (ah the power inside that 70 pound body) and gave us one of the marigolds each as a keepsake, telling us that it would protect us. (I kept the marigold on my own altar, but my mother, who was visiting me, in a cleaning zeal threw out the dried flower .... much to my angst ... When I told Maa later and asked for another flower, She said that I should have preserved it in a nice box kept aside for that purpose... Anyway thats an old story... sigh !!!!) To me this picture symbolizes that divine mood and atmosphere that was so tangible that Mother's day. This photo can be viewed at / (the homepage of our group) . I request everyone to share pictures of your altar or from your altar. JAI MAA Nanda for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
