Two Candles...

I enjoyed the photo of MuktiMaa's altar. All the

musical instruments -- tamboura, tablas, etc. --

Saraswati is very present, even without her murthi!

I like the two pillar candles on the altar, one red

and one white. These are to represent Shiva and

Shakti? But when I set up my alatar, a white candle

to the right (or my left) stands for Shiva, while a

red candle to the left (or my right) symbolizes

Shakti.

i am glad you enjoyed seeing my altar. Actually, that is my main

altar, but i have altars everywhere through out our home; and also on

the other 3 walls of that particular room. [shiva/Shakti Mandir].

You are very right about Saraswati Maa's Presence! Very, very

perceptive you are, dear!

i do have a beautiful Murti of Her, She is just not in that Photo.

Also, i understand why you like the white candle on the left and the

red candle on the right. i am probably going to switch them. i have

used them both ways [off and on over the years], for various reasons.

Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji! Jai Thakur!
