Guest guest
- Jai Maa! i voted that Mother in all Her Forms is my Ishta, and then realized i would rather say "The Divine Energy of Infinite Consiousness and Pure Awareness" is my Ishta Devata. Also for close to 35 years, Sri Ramakrishna has been my "Perfect Example". He has always guided me, and i consider Him my Root Guru. He has always lighted my path with His Divine Presence. His Universal outlook of "All True Religions lead to God" has been the greatest blessing to us all! His Ecstatic Love for Maa has Shaken the Cosmos Awake to Mother Consciousness! i bow to Him with all my heart! Guest guest
Namaste Holy Family, For those of us, myself included, who revere Sri Ramakrishna as the Avatara of the modern age; the tradition is that He was a manifestation of all the Gods and Goddesses, and, as such, any of the deities can be worshipped through his form. He incorporated all of them into his own being: Kali, Durga, Shiva, Krishna, Rama, Christ, Mohammad, etc. During his period of sadhana, he practiced the disciplines of all of the religions and would realize the deity of that religion within no more than 3 days. That deity would then merge with him and become a part of him forever. It was because of his direct experience of the efficacy of all of the religions and sects which he practiced, that he concluded that all religions are true, and all lead to the same goal: realization of the Divine. Therefore, it is my faith that by worshiping Ramakrishna, I am honoring and loving all deities. With Love, Kumari , wrote: > > Enter your vote today! Guest guest
yes, i was looking for Durga, too, but chose Lalita Devi. Jai Maa, Mukti Maa! "You talk about `before meeting Amma,' but there is no such thing. All of Amma's children have already met Amma long ago. Even though no one is aware of this, Amma's protection has always been there. Having followed instructions given to them in a previous lifetime, people feel God's grace. Even if they are no longer following a Guru's instructions or doing sadhana in this lifetime, still they may receive grace due to merits acquired by them in a previous lifetime." - Vol.5, p83
