Sacred Ash

Namaste,

I recently asked Nanda what is used to paint the white lines or

markings on a Shiva Lingam. Nandaji thought that this Q/A would

benefit the group.

"The white lines are sacred ash - called "vibhuti" and you would get

them in any hindu temple in your area.

You could also use a white sandalwood paste (more like clay) that

gives the same white line effect."
