Guest guest
I bought a statue of Kubera (Treasurer of the Devas) from an Indian website, and they includedas an extra gift a small Parad Shiva-lingam. I already have a Narmada Shiva-lingam on my altar. Can I worship and use two lingams at the same time? I am almost totally ignorant of the properties of Parad -- I know that it is a form of purified, solidified mercury. The Parad lingam sent to me has a yoni-pitha base -- which direction does the yoni-pita face again? I am pouring a few drops of sanctified water on the Parad lingam every morning, and singing a Shiva bhajan, or chanting the Maha-Mritunjaya mantra. Has anyone experienced working with Parad, and can you suggest a sadhana appropriate to use? Swamiji's response: You can worship more than one lingam, and you can use our puja books with any lingam. Nanda's footnote: The yoni pitha always points north.
