Guest guest
This brings up an interesting point that I have been dwelling upon. I assume the answer to all the questions I am about to ask is "yes", but I want to just confirm this. I have come across somewhat different versions of Stotrams like the Kali Sahasranam Stotram. As far as you know, are there many different (or at least several) versions passed down thru lineage/tradition? Is there any record of how long ago these types of stotrams and namavalis were created? Same question for a Vedic Mantra like the Ganesh Atharavasirsham? I have seen this titled various ways as well, like "Ganapati Upanishad", etc. And while I am on a role, what about for Sri Sri Chandi and Sri Rudram? Swamiji's response: Actually in different books the order is reversed. And in some books the Kavach comes after the 700 verses. Here we followed the North Indian tradition.
