It does not come in a paper back version, but there is a very good abridged version available, which usually sells for about half as much. It is also hard back. It contains a lot of what is in the big book, and is still around 600 pages or so. Hope this helps! Namaste Tracey, Steve, My copy of The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna - Abridged was $5 when bought new in 1974. It is "Translated into English with an Introduction by Swami Nikhilananda" and printed in the US. The copyrights are 1942, 1948, 1958, by Swami Nikhilananda. I believe the New York Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Center was the publisher. The Library of Congress Catalog # is 58-8948. Tracey you might check the used book stores-sellers and ask for info related to above as Steve mentioned. Reading and re-reading this book is a source of joy.
