Dear Nanda :::waving::: As I said, I've been lurking now and then. I loved all these suggestions for ways to honor Navaratri. I started by cleaning off my altar, adding a picture of Durga in a frame, and tomorrow I will go pick wildflowers to put in a small vase. (Actually, for me, cleaning my altar, which is the bureau in the main living space of my trailer, because the bureau tends to be a thingie collector, and then under all the thingies, there is dust, and then after I dealt with that, I had to clean the rest of the bureau and the mirror above it. And this was after I'd been doing errands all morning. Luckily, I had a long nap.) I am going back to my beloved Chandi, but I believe I will also do some of the other things you suggested too.
