Dear Len and all ~ I haven't posted much, but I lurk now and then, and

I'm glad I was lurking today because a lot of what I have read here

has been so wonderful, including Swami Sivananda's description of

Navaratri, Nanda's suggestions for individual sankalpas, and your

description of the 5 elements in Hinduism.

I have long been interested in the elements. I some cultures there are

four ~ fire, water, earth, air. In some five, and in some that have

five, the five are different. For example, I believe the five

elements in oriental culture include wood along with the others. I

have often incorporated the five elements into my artwork and my

music, and I love everything I come across that is about them. So

thank you. Blessings ~ Linda
