Guest guest
The yantra uses dyed sand or grain (?) for coloring the yantra for homa. What ingredients are used for yellow, red, black (or any color for that matter)? I could guess at tumeric for yellow, or even soaked saffron... I'd also guess the dyes would be a vegetable type? Swamiji's response:We generally use red, white, and black. Black is tamas and we grind charcoal from the fire. White is sattva, and we grind basmati rice. Red is rajas and we use sindhur.
