We undertake our actions with a vow to bring to fruition and to complete the task to the best of our ability.Whether this is verbalized or just thought is immaterial. The sankalpa is taken at the commencement of work. Dear Nanda ~ as always consummate simplicity, efficiency and truth...what is new to me is Michael's description of the many meanings of the word, "yajna." (Thank you Michael.) I have a commitment to make a CD, yet at this point in my life, due to my illness, my voice is at its very worst. I still practice ... trying to see what I can do with what I have left. But this is really important to me to accomplish and reading Swami's whole statement, especially the part about the "...vow to bring to fruition and to complete the task to the best of our ability" really spoke to all levels of my being and gave me a sense of hope that if I vow, make a sankalpa for this project, there will be a much better chance of it happening.
