Guest guest
Namaste Muktimaa. thank you for sharing your thoughts about Grace; I found your comments inspiring, as always. Sri Ramakrishna said that "Faith is the root of all". I am interested in understanding more about the power of Faith and Grace, and their relationship to each other. Guest guest
Namaste! Om Shree Maa! Jai Swamiji! Many, many prostrations at The Holy Feet of Maa and Swamiji! Just as Thakur, don't Maa and Swamiji also say the substance of our thoughts becomes our reality? my very humble understanding is that the nature of our faith creates and attracts Grace. The Mother (Sri Aurobindo Ashram) says that God responds to us in exactly the way we call Him. So if we call God with the faith of a child - that She is our very own Mother, i think (and hope most fervently!) that She will come to us as our very own Mother -- She will come and lift us and hold us in Her lap and make our lives holy, pure and completely Her own. That is our faith - that is our sincere prayer -- and Her response to that is Her Grace in our lives!! To create this faith, to live in this prayerful attitude, we do sadhana, is it not? When we do puja, we really invite Her and She comes and we get to feed Her and dress Her and sing and dance to Her!! When we chant the Chandi, She comes and we get to ask Her for a boon - when we ask Her again and again and again for perfect faith, unflinching devotion, a life of purity and truth - She will give! She has to give -- for after all, is She not our very, very, very own Maa!!! And that will be Her grace! Does this make sense? Is it too simplistic? Please help me understand better. Thank you for your beautiful questions! Jai MAA! Jai Swamiji! yours lovingly, ramya , "ty_maa" <ds.james@c...> wrote: > > Namaste Muktimaa. thank you for sharing your thoughts about Grace; I > found your comments inspiring, as always. > > Sri Ramakrishna said that "Faith is the root of all". Guest guest
Dear Ramya, > Does this make sense? Is it too simplistic? You make perfect sense to me. Guest guest
Dear Ramya, I very much appreciated your inspiring words about Grace and Faith. Holy company and holy conversations about God are a real part of a devotee's sadhana. I'm so happy that you and Muktimaa gave such uplifting and loving replies to my question. Sri Ramakrishna said: "To love God and live in the company of devotees; that is all. What more is there?" I only am able to read the group messages a few times a week due to my demanding work, but I always read what is online even though I may not reply right away.
