Guest guest
Dear Mahamuni, Regarding your questions on Lahiri Mahasiya and Babaji. Last year I went on pilgrimage to India, with the prinicipal destinations being the samadhi of Shree Ananandamayi Ma in Haridwar and the holy mountain town of Badrinath. You may know that "Badrinath" is a name for Lord Vishnu and that the town sits on the Alakananda River, one of the four sources of Mother Ganga (or less poetically, the River Ganges), which makes Badrinath one of the four "char dham" pilgrimage points as designated by Shankara. I go through all this because Babaji taught near Badrinath, and it was my very strong sense that He has never left this planet, and He will be there in as powerful and obvious a way as necessary for those who love Him or have karmic relations with Him. As for the Kriya Yoga of Babaji, I have no words to praise the power, beauty, and love it contains. Victory to the ageless Guru of all Gurus! Jai Maa! Also, there was a little black and white covered book that came out in the 70's called "Hariakhan Baba Known and Unknown" by Baba Hari Dass of the Sri Rama foundation. This book is long out of print, but you might be able to find in on www.amazon.com It was a very interesting little book; i used to have it until a couple of years ago. i gave it to someone from India who was very attracted to Babaji. Hope this helps! Guest guest
I feel already that this post of mine is going to create controversy since so many organizations, "gurus" etc., lay claim to the Babaji that taught Lahiri Mahasaya. I am sorry for this. I just wanted to hear what Swamiji has to say based upon his knowledge and experience that came from living in India, not from books that people have written in recent years. It is a sorry thing, but there is BIG money being made in the Babaji game, so to speak.
