Guest guest
Once again a very happy Diwali to everyone. My 9th Kali Sankalpa, along with the Diwali Day sankalpa completed successfully. ( I also found out the name #901 of Lakshmi is Nanda - my name . Lakshmi seems suddenly VERY interesting ) Kali DID help ! She left me feeling lighter this Diwali and made it a VERY memorable one. I have to say this - were I back in my hometown in India, I would not have spent the Diwali as I did - in prayer and contemplation. It would have probably been spent with shopping, and feasting and generally making merry without a thought for tomorow. It is really the grace of Maa and Swamiji for providing us this forum and this satsanga to encourage each other in our practices. And what a beautiful outcome - this sankalpa and many such sankalpas before, where we have used the support system to grow in our practices. I thank Maa and Swamiji for providing us this oasis of prayer and meditation in the desert of worldliness. For the refuge amidst the storm of turbulent thoughts. For showing the way towards light. For Kali removing the darkness, and for Lakshmi defining our goals. Heartfelt thanks to Ramya for suggesting this Kali sankalpa, and thanks to all for participating in the 9 day event and the Diwali Day sankalpa.Special thanks to Mausumi for doing the Sahasranama at the fire at the Mandi on an auspicious day. A special thanks to Egyirba,Lieve Henny, Kaliananda, Kanda , Muktimaa (all those pix) ,Pahari Maa, Srini and Ramya for faithfully reporting their progress in their sankalpa. Special thanks to Sadhvi for sharing her Kali stories and wisdom. JAI KALI JAI LAKSHMI Nanda FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
Dear Nanda and all, by grace of God and Guru I have also completed the 9th day of Kali sankalpa and the Diwali day sankalpa. Diwali day was a day of travelling for me, so there was not much time for quiet prayer and contemplation during the day and I worried about my not being able to fulfill my promise. But I found a folding seat on the balcony of the train away from other passengers, and started reciting Maa Kali's mantra out loud. The sound of my voice was drowned out by the noise of the wheels of the train on the rails, but gradually the sound seemed to change, as if the wheels were chanting along with me, and what had seemed a terrible noise became song. I was sorry to arrive at my destination and left the train feeling lit up like a christmas tree. Had a wonderful journey. Maa does help indeed. Thank you, all of you, for making this sankalpa possible. I cannot tell you how much the support of the group means to me, with love, Henny -- In , Nanda <chandimaakijai> wrote: > > Dear All, > Once again a very happy Diwali to everyone.
