Someone willing to risk a little karma to teach us non-reaction, someone willing to test our consciousness.Once that realization hits in the moment, we immediately bow down to the Guru within our hearts and the situation will be defused. And there will be no karma for us. Dear Brian, This is a whole new perspective on the button pushing, and most excellent and necessary. It is one thing to turn one's mind inward and see what the button pushing is really about, but it is quite another thing to then turn and regard the one who pushed the button as a most excellent guru. That is an integral part of the process, and I am really glad you pointed it out. I am imagining trying this on my family and realizing how hard it will be, but how necessary if I am to be truly free. Again, I thank you ~ Linda (Also, people who don't push our buttons, but give us most excellent and helpful insights are also the guru, in the sense you mean, I believe.) pranams

(S)he who bows down to all the Gurus is a Devotee. There are very few devotees.
