To Swami Jee on Reincarnation and Pitr Devtas

Dear Swami Jee,

 

I would like to know how a living being reincarnates in next life and

gets time to pass through differentnt realms. As I understand one does

shraad puja and at that stage the dead soul becomes more of a pitr

devta and if they have an untimely death become a pisaach.

 

How does reincarnation fit into this picture as I have heard that

people reincarnate straight after death, but on the other hand they

linger around in this world for thirteen days till the final puja and

offerings are made out for them.

 

This can be somewhat confusing unless you get an express ride by means

of Moksha.
