Guest guest
OM NAMAH SIVAYA Nanda, i chanted the Guru Gita w/Guru mantra samput for Thanksgiving. i awoke early, showered, offered one red rose to Siva, a ghee lamp, and incense. it seemed appropriate on the day of giving thanks to honor Siva/The Guru. after the puja i received a call that my father passed. he probably died while i was doing the worship. which makes yesterday's sankalpa all that more relevant. it seems that while i was chanting praising The Guru, my very first Guru this life was crossing from the physical plane. quite a blessing to be able to give thanks to him this way. all love -eric JAI MAA , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai> wrote: > > > Dear All esp those offered to take up the Ishta Deva Sankalpa for Thanksgiving, > > Happy Thanks giving once again. Guest guest
Dear friends and family, Hope that you all had a wonderful day yesterday. My Ishta Deva Thanksgiving Sankalpa took the form of Praises to Lord Ganesh - Remover of Obstacles; Puja to Goddess Kali for release from attachment and Guru Gita with samput of a Kali mantra through love, respect and gratitude for Guru and for peace in all worlds. Though thanksgiving is not celebrated in this region(or should I say at this time since Christmas is sort of like thanksgiving for us) I feel truly blessed to be here in this time and space with such beautiful souls who share one common goal. Many thanks to each and everyone of you, may our love, light and devotion ever increase. Eternal blessing upon the incarnation of Guru whose purity and love has brought us all to this place. With much gratitude. Pranams. Guest guest
Namaste, beloved family! i hope you all had a very blessed Thanksgiving Holi-day! For my Sankalpa, i first chanted the "Ganesha Pratah Smarana"; then i chanted the "Lalita Trisati" in a Namavali form with Samputs, and offered a little golden flower with each "Namaha"; i then chanted the "Sri Devi Khadga Mala Stotram". Afterward, i shared the "Pancha Puja" Prasadam with my beloved Vince ji. :<) Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji! Jai Thakur! Arati & Vasantha > Dear Eric, > > May blessings of peace be bestowed upon you and your family during this time. Shree Maa and Swamiji always suggest that we recite the Gayatri mantra to bless the soul to go higher. In turn, that soul will bless us. Peace to you.Peace to your father. Guest guest
Dear Eric, Just as it was a blessing to you to give thanks through your puja, it was a great blessing to your father to have a son who practices dharma, especially at the time of his passing. How auspicious! Because of the powerful psychic link between parents and children, your puja has blessed him tremendously. I believe this is the greatest gift we can give to our parents, whether they believe in it or not, whether they agree with it or not, whether they think we're nuts or not! May all souls be peaceful now and at the time of their passing.
