Yes, that is correct. The Kushandika and Upasanghar mantras while derived from

the Vedas are generic to all the Devi Mandir books. Kushandika is a prelude to

the actual text, while Upasanghar refers to the closing mantras.

Oops, sorry that was a typo- please start from page 5 and with the devata

pranam.

I am not sure if it is "improper" in anyway but I will check with Swamiji and

post as soon as I hear from him.

Yes, I believe it is because the chanting is both an individual as well as a

collective prayer, ie , I pray for myself and for all around me. This reminds me

of something Maa said sometime ago. She said (and I paraphrase) , "Pray for

three sets of people - yourself, your family and the Universe". I believe the

chants in the Rudri ("I" and "we") affirm that objective.
