Guest guest
Inspiration, electricity in the air, shining ambassadors of truth, yes, Shree Maa and Swamiji emanated this feeling of efullgeance that first evening I met them. My heart opened to their giving and I could not stay away from the little house a devotee had offered them to live in for a while. Their teachings and regular daily sadhana continue to verify the value of sankalpa (spiritual vow) and keeping it (walking the talk). Thank you, dearly, Mother and Swamiji, for your continued presence and 100 percent effort in our midst! Gautam

Guest guest
Namaste Gautam, Several images came to mind as I read your poetic entry; let me see if I can put them into words. It is said that a saint who has had even a distant glimpse of God during his or her lifetime classifies as a saint, but that those who live day and night with God, for instance Jatadhari, "the babaji" who brought Ramlala to Dakshineshwar, have a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. Among all the devotees who have come to the Devi Mandir, those who have remained there continuously from almost the beginning to the present can be counted on two fingers of one hand. What one hears directly from God, the saints, and Avataras is shruti, but when one relates the memories to others, it becomes smriti, and these memories can be very important to others. And who has the full stock of such memories, and can put them into the context of the full trajectory of the holy lives, except one who has been there from the beginning? Radhu, Sri Sarada Devi's "Daughter" companion, was raised by the Mother. No doubt, at least part of her contribution to the Mother's lila there was to make it difficult for the devotees who came for advice and inspiration to say afterward, "Well, Sarada Devi's teachings are very good, but then she never had to raise a troublesome teenage daughter". But whatever Radhu's relative role may have been in the Mother's lila, after Sarada Devi's mahasamadhi many devotees came to her to hear her reminiscences of the Mother. Even the very highly esteemed monastic disciples of Sri Ramakrishna, who by then had become great saints and avadhutas in their own right, came with great respect to meet Radhu and listen to her stories of the Mother. The Vatican photographer has taken hundreds of thousands of photos of the Pope in every kind of context over his career, and to devotees of that tradition these constitute a treasure that can't be given a temporal value. Just so, your memories of Sri Ma and Swamiji are beyond value. Now, a request. I know you have already written a bit is the published material about Sri Ma and Swamiji, and I also know that you don't like to put yourself forward into the limelight, but if you were to just keep note of memories, as they naturally come up during the day, that have inspiritional or instructive value, and wrote a few lines into the websight when you have a spare moment, I know that many of us would benefit. I believe that this websight-this virtual Temple-is presided over by Maha Shakti Herself, and, as such, it is just bursting with potential Power. I have faith that anyone who just touches this websight, even by accident, will be uplifted. How could it be otherwise? Its great to hear from you on line dear friend. Guest guest
Namaste, Tanmaya-- Your loving and wisdom-filled bhava (attitude of devotion) again fills me with delight and faith that we can freely share our experiences, openly-- and lift mind to higher vibrations in the process. I will write as the spirit moves--and now will go to arati and temple, as it is now time for satsang... Jai Maa-- and love be with you all -- Gautam > > Namaste Gautam, > > Several images came to mind as I read your poetic entry; let me see > if I can put them into words. > > It is said that a saint who has had even a distant glimpse of God > during his or her lifetime classifies as a saint, but that those who > live day and night with God, for instance Jatadhari, "the babaji" who > brought Ramlala to Dakshineshwar, have a deeper and more intimate > relationship with God.
