Guest guest Posted December 20, 2005 Report Share Posted December 20, 2005 Nanda, Since "things have been a little slow" with the Club, I thought I would post some thoughts instead of just reading posts and keeping my thoughts to myself. I LOVED the songs from Shree Maa and the Devi Mandir Singers and send them all my love and appreciation. I listened to the files before reading what they were. My reaction was "these seem like Christmas caroles in sanskrit" and "these are happy songs". Thank you Shree Maa and family, your gift songs made me smile and feel joy. I also appreciate the posting of the photo of the Jesus Murti and the reminder that his is the path of the Heart. What love he has for all. It is the path of the Heart that draws me. Bhakti. This is why I like singing so much. Ever since a child I have sung to God/Goddess when I am alone. Often just notes without words or only simple words like Om and Jai Maa...I can be moved to tears and a range of emotions from the power of sound. It opens my heart. Jesus carries God in his heart, like Hanuman carries Ram and Sita. When one's heart is filled with God, what else really matters.
