Guest guest
Namascar- Nanda or Devnath can you please give a bit more information regarding the following? 1. Can the homa oblations be done in front of a fire in a woodstove (with the door open)? There is a safety and weather issue here. 2. Are the number of homa oblations fewer than the japa because of the power of the homa oblations, the time involved, or something else? 3. Where could someone in the USA get a Shakti's mala? 4. I think I understand the japa with figures facing up and down but am not sure what you mean by "IN THE MIDDLE with fingers facing sideways". The sideways part is clear but what do you mean by in the middle? 5. Would the beads be counted/moved with the thumb and pulled across the middle finger between the index and middle figures for all nine? 6. If we need to do this one planet a day or one planet per month, what order/correspondance to days/months would you recommend? 7. For the "Swaha" would we make an offering from our heart to the fire, fingertips leading or making an offering of rice or such? If so with which hand and holding the mala how during the "Swaha"? Sanga: I share a poem I sent to the Devi Mandir after receiving Shree Maa's 9 planet chant CD last year. I was moved. It is simple but the feeling strong. Shree Maa 12-26-04 Guru and the Kite I reach to touch Mother's feet As her voice rings in Puja Cajoling the sacred planets To be kind in their influence Mother is like the kite Benjamin Franklin engaged To reach out to the sky Touching electricity So I reach to you Mother That the purity of your being The heights you reach Might somehow convey The currents of our Lord That shake us awake The sharp purity of your innocence That cuts the tethers Allowing us to fly free Om Tat Sat Thank you Devanath and thank you Shree Maa.
