Guest guest
0pt">This choice is recommended for those of us that are beginners and do not have access to a fire place or havan kund . You will of course, chant the prescribed number of times per planet as given in the main post /message/16335 Choice 2: Chant the mantras at the fire ONLY. You will replace the "namah" at the end of each mantra with "swaha". So for example, the sun mantra would become "om hrim hrim suryaya swaha". Again, the number of oblations offered to the fire would be as given in the main post /message/16335 This choice is recommended for those that are familiar with doing a homa and have access to a fireplace or havan kund. Choice 3: Do a japa of the mantra AND chant the mantras at the fire. ie this choice includes BOTH choice 1 and 2. So for example , for Surya you would do New Roman">6,000 japa - that means 60 malas with Om Hrim Hrim Suryaya Namah AND 600 homa oblations - that means 6 malas at the fire with Om Hrim Hrim Suryaya Swaha This choice is recommended for those that have access to doing a homa and those that would like to do japa. 0pt">Obviously, the simplest choice is choice 1, but choice 3 is recommended for those of us that have the energy, time and love to complete this sankalpa. Guest guest
Dear Nanda, I received the Navagraha stotram CD just a few days ago and decided to to your group. My husband and I have been listening to the CD each day (as a meditation) and I wanted to know of the appropriateness of this practice and can this be a long term practice. Due to ill health I find the mind (and body) are very heavy at the moment and it's less strain for me to just listen to the Navagraha CD...it's easier on the mind, and certainly easier for my husband who can't seem to get his tongue around any mantras. Best Wishes, Wendy _________________________
