Guest guest
Guru. I do not have a Guru here at Pune, India and have never approached to one before. By this e-mail, I seek the permission and blessings of Swamiji & Shree Maa to recite the above manthra and read the Chandi Path. With Pranaams, Manoharan Photos Got holiday prints? Guest guest
Namaste Manoharan, I look forward to Swamiji's response. I'd like to say that in my heart I know it is okay for anyone to perform any puja at any time for any reason. And if you have a calling to perform one with a desire to reach a higher understanding and connection with Divinity, there is nothing to stand in the way of achieving that goal. My Guru, Swami Shivom Tirth of Dewas India told me and a group of disciples, "Don't look at me and see your Guru. I am not your Guru, your Guru is in your heart. Always follow your inner Guru." I see each of us as Guru and each of us as Disciple. When we respect each other properly and love one another like Maa loves us, like Shree Maa sets the example, then we are devotees, showing our respect for She Who Manifested All; and we are Guru showing others how to do the same by our example. When you say you need a Guru's blessing, you should realize that you already have it, because having the desire to chant the Chandi is itself a blessing from inner Guru. May Surya light your day, Chandra light your night, and Chandi en-light-en your mind. > Dear Nandaji, > > I would like to have your opinion on my following request to Swamiji and > Shree Maa. > > I am very much interested to read Chandi Path (Durga Sapatasati). Guest guest
Dear Swamiji, Like the Bhagavad-Gita which is probably the most celebrated episode of the Mahaa-bhaarata the Chandi Path is also a section of a larger body of work called the Markendeya Purana containing 9000 verses. Are there others parts of the this purana that are used for sadhana and are themes and styles and content similar to the 700 verses of the Chandi Path? Namaste.
