I like that idea of "standing up with someone" and of affirming 'all will be well.... (I do recognize that). Your final sentence represents where I am coming from, when, usually do to my health, I make reference to the names on the list (but do not recite them) and recognize conciously that the Lord of All knows all these names and more.This understanding makes our very being a prayer for the good of all others.
